In brief

Preparing the tooth changes the answer

Some veneers require part of the enamel to be removed. This change does not grow back by itself. The plan should state what will be prepared and the possible consequences before any decision is made.

No preparation does not mean no constraints

A minimally invasive technique does not suit every tooth shape or position. The added thickness, the shade and your bite need to be studied. Ask what exactly "reversible" means in the proposal you are given.

Compare the alternatives

When the concern is mainly colour or alignment, whitening or orthodontics may be discussed. Composite is also an option in some situations. The aim is to understand the benefit and the constraints of each choice.
