Towards better-aligned teeth that are easier to keep clean: the appliance is chosen with you, according to your mouth and your daily life.

The specialty in detail

The 5 treatments in orthodontics.

Crooked teeth are not only a question of appearance: they are harder to clean and can wear unevenly. In orthodontics, in Marrakech, treatment is chosen after an examination, according to your age, your situation and your constraints.

  • Fixed braces

Metal or ceramic braces that guide your teeth step by step, including in more complex situations.

Who is it for? For children, teenagers and adults whose tooth movements need braces bonded on during treatment.

  • Clear aligners

Clear, removable trays that straighten your teeth discreetly, one set after another.

Who is it for? For adults and teenagers whose situation is suitable, and who can wear the trays consistently.

  • Orthodontics for children

Spot early what is easier to correct during growth, and guide your child at the right time.

Who is it for? For growing children: crooked teeth, lack of space, a bite to monitor.

  • Orthodontics for adults

Age is not an obstacle in itself: straightening your teeth remains possible when gums and bone are healthy.

Who is it for? For adults of any age whose gums and bone are healthy or have been stabilised.

  • Retainers

Look after your new smile: a retainer holds the teeth in line once the braces are removed.

Who is it for? For any patient at the end of orthodontic treatment, or whose retainer has come off or been damaged.

Frequently asked questions

Orthodontics: your questions.

These answers remain general. At the consultation, we answer precisely for your situation.

Are aligners suitable for every case?

No. Some tooth movements are better treated with fixed braces. The examination helps guide you towards the right solution.

How long does treatment take?

It varies with the movements required, and also depends on wearing the appliance regularly. An estimate is given at the assessment.

Do teeth have to be removed?

Not systematically. It depends on the space available; if the question arises, it is discussed with you before starting.

Have you heard this before?

“Orthodontics is only for children.”

No. Teeth can be moved at any age if the gums and bone are healthy. The assessment tells what is possible.

“Clear aligners do the work on their own.”

Not quite. They only work if worn as prescribed, nearly all day. Follow-up at the clinic remains essential.

“Once the braces are off, the teeth stay in place for ever.”

No. Teeth tend to drift back towards their original position. A retainer helps to keep the result.

“You have to wait until all the permanent teeth are in before seeing anyone.”

Not necessarily. An early opinion makes it possible to spot a jaw problem or a habit such as thumb-sucking. The timing of treatment is decided after an examination.
